Brownies anyone?

Well, my poor husband came home early from work today because of a stomach bug of sorts and went straight to sleep… only to wake up with a sweet tooth. Ha! So, second chocolate post of the day… we made brownies. Oh yes.

Go ahead and preheat your oven for 325 degrees, because you’re going to want to get ready for this one.

What you’ll need:
-1 1/2 cups of sugar
-3/4 cup of flour
-3/4 cup of cocoa powder

-3 eggs
-3/4 cup of butter (melted)
-3/4 cup of your favorite chocolate chips

Now, you all know–white chocolate chips are my favorite, and they look so pretty against the dark of the brownie batter!

FIRST – mix all that together in a big bowl. (excluding the chocolate chips)
(do not beat it, just mix it up with a spoon…
beating it will make it become too fluffy and your delicious brownies will come out looking like cake.)

SECOND – once all that is done, THEN mix in your chocolate chips.
I let my husband do this for me. He looked eager to get his hands in all of it.

THIRD – pour all of it into a greased baking pan. (I used an 8×8)

FOURTH – put it in the oven for about 30 minutes.
I expected them to cook about 10 minutes less than that, but surprisingly it took the whole 30 minutes this time!

Once they’re done cooking, and your home smells divine, it’s time to dig in.
I know you’re supposed to wait for them to cool–but we just couldn’t wait!

Obviously, they were a hit…

Have a great evening and ENJOY!!
